A new report from Elastic Path shows that the video-consuming public is more open to paying for their preferred content than most of us previously believed, and makes strong recommendations for experimentation and study to companies looking to sell video online.

ComScore has recently put out their latest video matrix, highlighting the top 50 online properties in the United States. Unsurprisingly, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, and Facebook are among the top five. Somewhat surprisingly, AOL is number five. But least surprising, the top five players all have a major video presence.

In fact, 22 of the top 50 properties have a video presence. I predict that this time next year, at least 30 of the top 50 properties will be using video production. How long before all 50 have some kind of video presence ? Is corporate video production the secret to online success?
